Viewfinder is a contemporary photography magazine published by Shahjalal University Photographers' Association (SUPA). Even though Bangladesh is ahead of other South-Asian countries when it comes to photography, photography magazines and other similar publications are a rarity.
These magazines are an absolute necessity for photography inspiration, coming up with new ideas, and creating original art. Social media and online portals have somewhat filled this void. But there is no way they can compete with actual printed photographs curated with heart.
With this in mind, the first issue was published back in 2001 with regular releases afterwards. They contain contemporary photography precedent, interesting stories and experiences from photographers, directions from renowned photographers and miscellaneous photography related literature.
Alongside these regular editions, we publish a special edition - regarding our international exhibition - Inquest Insight - featuring all the photographs. It's no different this time for the fourth installment of Inquest Insight – hopefully you will appreciate this humble endeavor from us university students and fellow photography enthusiasts.
